  Importance of Sound Awareness:  It is not possible to teach children decoding, that is, the relationship between sound and its symbols, unless they can identify small parts of words.  Once children learn to recognize the sound of / m /, it becomes easy for them to learn the shape of ‘m’.  

The main skill of sound awareness is to connect the sound of a word, to recognize its sound and to change it.  Based on this, the skill of character can be easily cultivated.  During the first three months of pre-school and first standard, five to ten minutes of sound awareness activities should be done every day.

The use of children’s environmental terms in decoding education encourages them to do this work.  Many activities should be sports and consolidation activities.  Decoding rehearsals should be done for only 20-2 minutes every day, the rest of the time should be semantic activities.

Properly covered, it will withstand a great deal of adverse conditions. In four to six months, children will be able to decode simple words with less effort and read and understand simple sentences by the end of the first grade.  To test the decoding ability, the child is taught a lot of lessons, consisting of classes / letters that have been learned.  Such reading is effective in bringing purity and speed in reading.
